Homecare CEO says there is nowhere for the bedblockers to go

649 patients are on trolleys and wards this morning, down from a record high of 714 yesterday.

University Hospital Limerick is still the most overcrowded, with 58 patients waiting on a bed.

Today the numbers are down to 21 in Sligo University Hospital and to 14 in Letterkenny University Hospital.

Yesterday the Health Minister announced an extra 5 million euro for the HSE to spend on home care packages.
