There was in an increase in homelessness across the North West in January.
According to the latest Monthly Homeless Report by the Department of Housing, there were 164 adults and 19 families accessing emergency accommodation in Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal last month.
The numbers focused on the week of the 20th – 26th January, where there were 78 homeless adults in Sligo, 66 in Donegal, and 20 in Leitrim.
The figures show that 7 more people are in need of the service in January 2025 than in December 2024.
