Hopes for additional pedestrian crossing in Sligo

There are hopes that a pedestrian crossing will be installed on the Cleveragh Road in Sligo.

It follows concern that more and more people are crossing the road to use the local shop but don't have a safe way to do so.

Cllr Gino O'Boyle says that children in particular are using the route regularly and with the volume of traffic in the area, he feels that Sligo County Council must explore all avenues in a bid to get the infrastructure in place:
