The origin of the Kilross Stone may be revealed in time as funding has been allocated under the Community Monuments Fund to study the object.
Atlantic Archeology is currently carrying out a conservation report on the stone that was discovered buried in a field in the Sligo community in 2018.
Seamus McCormack of Ballintogher Community Entreprise says it's an exciting project and hopes answers will be delivered in time.
