It's hoped that the planned new primary care centre in Tubbercurry will take the pressure off bigger facilities.
It was announced yesterday that the centre is now at design phase stage, after being recently granted planning permission by Sligo County Council.

It'll be located behind the existing facility and will house a range of health services.
It's expected that the project will be completed by mid-2025.

Local Fine Gael Cllr Dara Mulvey says the facility will ultimately reduce the number of people having to travel and attend Sligo University Hospital:
