House prices across Sligo and Donegal have increased at twice the rate of the east coast in the last year as buyers battle the “lowest supply on record”.
The Q4 Irish Independent REA Average House Price Index has found a clear divide that splits the nation down the middle in terms of the rate of property price increases during the past three months.
Three-bedroom semi-detached homes in the likes of Sligo and Donegal increased by over €10,000 during that time - with an average annual rise of 16%
This is twice the rate of increase in commuter counties, which rose by 7.5%.
