House prices increase over last year according to REA survey

House prices have increased over the last year in the North West.

A new national survey carried out by Real Estate Alliance has found that the average price of a three bed semi in Leitrim rose by 15.6% in the last year, 12.8% in Sligo and there was no change in Donegal.

The survey focuses on actual prices as apposed to aspirational prices.

To buy a house in Leitrim It now costs an average of €122,50, €132,500 in Sligo and €95,000 in Donegal.

All three counties are selling below the national average which is €236,028, which is an overall increase of 1.54%.

I spoke earlier with Roger McCarrick from REA McCarrick and Sons and stared by asking why he thought they were increasing.
