The number of households seeking help from the North West Simon Community has almost doubled in the space of four years.
The comments were made in the Dail this morning by Independent Donegal TD Thomas Pringle who warned that lifting the eviction ban will have devastating consequences for the region.
The Government is expected to survive a confidence vote in the Dáil shortly with the backing of a number of Independent TDs.
