The Housing Minister has expressed an understanding over the urgency on the roll out of the new defective concrete blocks scheme.
It follows a protest at the gates of the County House in Lifford this week by affected homeowners over major issues in accessing and progressing through the Mica Redress Scheme.
There are fears that many who are waiting to access the enhanced scheme simply can't wait any longer due to a significant deterioration of their homes.
Speaking in the Dail, Independent TD for Donegal Thomas Pringle says Donegal County Council need to make preparations for alterative accommodation now:
