Housing Minister comes in for criticism over absence in Mica Dail debate

Housing Minister comes in for criticism over absence in Mica Dail debate

The Housing Minister has come in for criticism over his absence for debate on the Mica scandal in the Dail last night.

 

Donegal Sinn Fein TD says Padraig MacLochlainn says Mica homeowners should not be living in their defective houses this winter and a plan needs to be implemented now to get them housed elsewhere.

Neither the Housing Minister nor Junior Housing Ministers were present in the Dail last night, instead Minister of State and Sligo Leitrim TD Frank Feighan stood in for the topical issues.

 

Deputy MacLochlainn says many homeowners who have accessed the scheme are effectively in limbo because they can't find alternative accommodation:
