Housing Minister under fire from Sligo over missed targets

The Housing Minister is facing calls to explain why there was an underspend in the housing department.

The issue was raised at the latest sitting of Sligo County Council this morning.

Figures in recent years show the department has failed to meet its targets something Sinn Féin Councillor Arthur Gibbons believes shows the lack of planning by the government.

Speaking to Ocean FM, Councillor Gibbons accused Minister O'Brien of being reckless, especially in the wake of the eviction ban:
