The HSE, this afternoon, have released a statement regarding the overcrowding at Letterkenny University Hospital.
This comes following the news that LUH had over 170 visitors at the emergency department throughout yesterday, and is seeing similar high numbers again today.

They have stated that the medical staff are committed to seeking to all patients who are present in the emergency department, but do so in order of medical priority.
LUH have also advised that people consider other options for non-emergency care, as well as regularly using the alcohol hand gels while at the hospital.
