Iarnrod Eireann has been branded “a complete fiasco” with claims that it’s hindering tourism in south Donegal and the wider North West.
The comments were made by Bundoran Sinn Fein Cllr Michael McMahon who has been heavily criticising the service.
Overcrowding issues on a number of lines combined with no canteen service currently on trains have been highlighted at the latest sitting of the Donegal MD.
The notorious costly bags of Tayto crisps in the Galway train station which was previously highlighted on North West today were also noted.
Cllr McMahon has accused Irish Rail of being unfit to do business and believes that these issues will effectively put people off coming to this region:
