IFA met the Department of Transport today (Fri) to re-state its opposition to ‘NCT-style’ testing for tractors.
The Department agreed to withdraw a regulation last November following IFA’s objection to duplication of standards testing and road worthiness certification.
IFA Environment Chairman Thomas Cooney says a further meeting will take place in the next fortnight to resolve aspects of the revised proposals with which IFA are unhappy.
