Increasing tourist numbers in Ransboro/Knocknarea causing safety concerns for local residents

The increasing number of tourists in the Ransboro/Knocknarea area of Sligo during the early summer months is causing concern for the safety of parents, pupils and residents in the area, a meeting of local councillors has heard.

Independent Councillor Marie Casserly says road safety improvements would also be a boost for the Ransboro National School's Green Travel Programme.
