Enniscrone beach named among top sea swimming locations in Ireland and the UK

Sligo's Enniscrone beach and Dooey Beach Donegal have been included in the overall list of best place in the UK or Ireland to go sea swimming.

Irish beaches took up 6 of the top 20 spots with Keem beach on Achill Island in Co Mayo being recognised as the best place in the UK or Ireland to go sea swimming.

The survey was conducted by UK-based company Ocean Bottle.

Ballymote Tubbercurry councillor Joe Queenan says the inclusion of Enniscrone is a major boost for the local economy that depends heavily on tourism.
