Insurance companies 'blatantly profiteering off the Covid-19 pandemic' says Donegal TD

A Donegal TD says insurance companies are 'blatantly profiteering off the Covid-19 pandemic.'

Sinn Fein Deputy, Pearse Doherty, claims insurance companies are deducting supports businesses received under the Employment Wage Subsidy Scheme under their policies and are 'pocketing the money.'

He says last year the Minister for State Seán Fleming said insurance companies 'would not 'be let off the hook' if they availed of state supports from valid claims under their insurance policies

Deputy Doherty says the situation is 'absolutely disgraceful.'
