Introduction of bodycams a positive step for Irish Rail employees

A Sligo Leitrim TD says the introduction of bodycams for some Irish Rail employees is a positive first step.

There has been a rise in recent years over anti-social behaviour on the rail services with Fiona Fail's spokesperson on Transport, Tourism and Sport, Marc MacSharry saying that he has heard of a number of reports from people feeling intimidated on Ireland's public transport.

Fianna Fail's election manifesto mentions establishing a section within the Gardaí to specifically monitor public transport.

Speaking to Ocean FM News, Deputy MacSharry says that while he welcomes the move, more needs to be done.
