An investigation is continuing into a report of shots being fired in Sligo yesterday.
The alarm was raised at around 5pm in the Garavogue Villas area of the town and Gardai attended the scene.

However following enquiries, Gardai established that no shots had been fired.
No offences have been disclosed by Gardai and investigations are ongoing.
