Investigation launched into overnight burglary in Leitrim

An investigation has been launched into an overnight burglary at a business premises in Drumshanbo.

Thieves attempted to break into the property shortly after 3am this morning.

It's understood that the scene is sealed off this afternoon for a forensic examination.

No arrests have yet been made and Gardai say that investigations are ongoing.

They're appealing to anyone who may have seen suspicious vehicles in the area around that time to contact them.

Anyone with information is being urged to contact Gardai in Carrick-On-Shannon.
