Irish Rural Link says new drink driving laws will impact rural people more seriously

Tougher drink driving sanctions will impact rural dwellers more seriously, according to Irish Rural Link.

Under the proposals being debated this afternoon, a person caught with a reduced blood alcohol limit faces a driving ban for their first offence.

There's also a call to improve Meals on Wheels and Local Link Bus services, to combat rural isolation.
