Irish Water is under pressure to come clean on the water quality in Cashelard.
It's understood that a white scale in the supply has appeared in recent days and residents are seeking reassurances that the water is safe to use.
Local Sinn Fein Cllr Michael McMahon believes that the issue could lead to utensils and other home appliances being damaged.
