The president of Sligo's Institute of Technology says his IT is on schedule to make its submission to become a technological university in about a years time.
Dr Brendan McCormack was speaking after the announcement yesterday that Ireland is getting its first ever technology University . . . in Dublin.
Dr McCormack says yesterday's announcement is an important milestone in the development of higher education in Ireland.
