John Street in Sligo town has reopened to traffic this (Tuesday) afternoon.
It had been closed following a collision between a 50-year old man and a vehicle at about 9:30 yesterday evening.
The man sustained serious injuries in the incident and was taken to the Beaumont Hospital in Dublin.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dash-cam footage of the area at the time to come forward.
