A joint meeting has been held in Sligo as part of Operation Dualgas.
The Operation is a local coastal strategic plan, which has been prepared to deal with the policing challenges faced.
It has a specific focus aimed at protecting and securing the division’s coastline and waterways from criminal activity.
The meeting was attended by members of AGS from Sligo/Leitrim and National Operational Support Services, Customs, Coast Guard, Irish Naval service, Sligo harbour management and Inland fisheries Ireland as part of the Sligo/Leitrim Divisional Coastal Strategy.
The aim of the joint meeting is to collaborate to help detect and deter crime along the coastline and waterways and to keep rural communities safe.
