A 65 year old kayaker airlifted to hospital from the water off the West Sligo coast at Aughris yesterday evening has died.
The man was in a serious condition when taken from the water just before half past eight last night but Gardai in Ballymote have confirmed the man has since died.
The Malin Head Coastguard received a call to the scene just after 8pm.
