Keelan Cawley calls time on Sligo career

Sligo's longest serving player, Keelan Cawley has retired from inter-county football.

Cawley was first called up to the senior panel by then-manager Kevin Walsh in 2009 and made his first appearance in 2010.

The Coolera-Strandhill clubman made 139 appearances for the county winning the Allianz League Division 3 in 2010 and Division 4 in 2023.

Known to his teammates as 'Kiwi', Cawley will continue to play with his club as they begin their defence of the Owen B Hunt Cup in a few weeks' time.
