A north Leitrim native has been announced as the 2025 recipient of the Leitrim Guardian Committee’s Person of the Year award.
Michael Feeney, from Killargue received his award at a ceremony at the Landmark Hotel in Carrick-on-Shannon on Sunday.
Despite spending most of his working life in Dublin, Michael has been a constant supporter and promoter of Leitrim from the GAA to tourism and business.
He has also served as chairperson of the Leitrim Recreational Forum since 2019 and is a member of the Leitrim County Council Diaspora Committee.
