Killybegs coastguard were tasked for the first time this year last night.
The crew were called out at around 5pm in the Murvagh area following the activation of a Personal Light Beacon.
Rescue 118 were also tasked, and carried out a thorough search of the area.
Following a two-hour search, all crews returned to their respective stations with nothing to report.
