Ballymote/Tubbercurry municipal district councillors held their monthly meeting at Ireland West Airport Knock this morning.
Sligo County Council is one of a number of counties in the region which has invested in the airport.
The story of the airport is part of its charm, the brainchild of Monsignor James Horan the Parish Priest of Knock at the time it has now become known as the 'foggy boggy miracle' emerging from a runway back in the 1980s to a major regional development hub employing around a hundred people.
