The Health Protection Surveillance Centre have in their latest Covid-19 figures confirmed that there were 1031 new cases in the Republic of Ireland yesterday. There were no additional deaths from Covid-19.
39 new cases were reported in Donegal while 30 new cases were confirmed in Sligo. There were less than 5 cases reported in Leitrim.
300 people with Covid-19 were being treated in Irish hospitals last night.
A further 133 people in wards were suspected of having the virus and awaiting test results.
32 patients with the disease were in Intensive Care Units, according to figures released by the HSE.
Locally there are 16 patients being treated for Covid-19 in Letterkenny University Hospital, two are in ICU. There are 6 people in Sligo University Hospital being treated for Covid-19.
