Latest Covid-19 figures released for the North West

The Department of Health has confirmed that there have been 52 more Covid-19 related deaths in the Republic of Ireland.

866 new cases have also been confirmed.  17 new cases were reported in Donegal yesterday, 8 in Sligo and less than 5 in Leitrim.

154,900 have now received their first dose of their Covid-19 vaccinations, 88,453 have received their second dose.

The latest figures also reported that 984 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised, of which 172 are in ICU.

There are 24 patients in Sligo University Hospital being treated for Covid-19, with 2 in the ICU Unit.  The latest number in Letterkenny University Hospital was 62 with 4 of those patients in ICU.
