Sligo has the highest number of homeless people in the North West at the end of third quarter of the year.
The figures have been released by the Department of Housing for the month of September, which showed that 131 adults in the North West accessed local authority managed emergency accommodation during the week 23rd – 29th of September.
It breaks down into 64 people in Sligo, 51 in Donegal, and 16 in Leitrim.
While there was 18 families accessing the service in the region during the same period.
Nationally, 14,760 people are registered as homeless in this month, an increase from 14,486 in August.
