Latest report suggests house prices are levelling in North West

House prices in the North West may be headed for a cooling off period.

In Sligo, prices in the first three months of 2023 were 6% higher than a year previously, compared to a rise of 16% seen a year ago.

The average price of a home is now €188,000.

In Leitrim, prices were 5% higher in the first three months of this year than a year previously, compared to a rise of 25% seen a year ago.

In Donegal, prices were 3% higher than a year previously, compared to a rise of 22% seen a year ago.

The average price of a home is now €194,000, 27% below its Celtic Tiger peak.
