The CEO of Leitrim County Council says any help for retailers with commercial rates will have to Government-led rather than local authority-led.
Lar Power addressed county councillors during the Council's first ever online information meeting on Tuesday.

Mr Power expressed that hope that Leitrim’s roadworks programme would be able to restart on the 18th of this month, when phase 1 of the easing of Covid restrictions nationally kicks in. This includes outdoor construction works resuming.
The CEO also expressed a personal wish that the government would soon issue a national advisory to wear a mask in the workplace – something he feels should now become a personal responsibility.
