This week's Manorhamilton MD meeting of Leitrim Council heard calls for the local authority to provide information on the protocol that is used to vet tenants for the Housing Assistance Payment scheme.
Fianna Fáil Councillor Justin Warnock tabled a motion on the issue.
The Kinlough based Councillor also sough clarity on whether individuals seeking housing are able to transfer from one a social housing list in another county to avail of the service in Leitrim.
In response Leitrim Council described this as 'not possible' they did however confirm that 'inter authority movement' is possible which enables those placed on waiting list from a different county to access accommodation in an alternative county
