An initiative with the goal of developing new businesses has been launched by Leitrim County Council.
It's part of the councils Economic Strategy 2015 - 2021; the aim of which is to look for innovative ways in growing the economy of the county.
The latest scheme is hoped to develop the Arts/Craft and Artisan Food businesses by encouraging business owner to occupy vacant premises and 100% of Commercial Rates will be paid for by the council in the first 3 years.
Head of Local Enterprise with Leitrim County Council, Joe Lowe says it's about increasing footfall in town centres around the county.
