Leitrim Council urged to review grant aid allocations for specific schemes

Leitrim County Council have been requested to carry out a review of how grant aid is allocated for applicants applying for a number of various schemes.

The request was made by Sinn Fein Councillor Padraig Fallon at this month's meeting of the Manorhamilton Municipal District.

Councillor Fallon has called on the Council to investigate how allocations are made under the housing adoption grant for people with disabilities, housing aid for older people and mobility and housing grants.

The Drumkeerin based Councillor also raised concerns over the discrepancies that exist from County to County.
