Leitrim Councillor calls for future Saturday elections

A Leitrim Councillor has welcomed the decision to hold the next general election on a Saturday.

Leitrim Fine Gael Councillor, Sean McDermott has been against the idea of closing schools to enable voting to take place in them in the past.

He says all elections going forward should now be staged on a Saturday.
