A situation where high-speed broadband infrastructure is being provided to the outskirts of Drumkeeran but not to the town centre has been described as ‘ridiculous’.
Councillor Mary Bohan raised the issue at this month's meeting of Leitrim County Council.
The Fianna Fáil Councillor claims the company responsible for providing the infrastructure is not providing any clear indications when the work will be completed at a number of locations throughout the county.
Councillor Bohan says the lack of high speed broadband in Drumkeeran village is preventing new businesses and residents coming to the village:
