A Leitrim councillor says the north Leitrim area is missing out on attracting visitors by not utilising the regions inclusion in the 'Eurovelo' - the Atlantic coast cycle route which runs from Portugal to northern Norway and consists of an in 11,000 KM of a cycling trek.
Cllr Justin Warnock says other local authorities are erecting sings for various hospitality locations and tourist attractions.
The Fianna Fail Councillor says the failure to maximise the potential from being included on this route is another blow to north Leitrim tourism businesses and tourist locations.
The Kinlough based councillor says businesses have also failed to see the benefits of being included on the wild Atlantic Way and this is another blow for them during challenging times.
