Leitrim County Council were requested to provide further information on septic tank and waste water inspections in the county over the past two years.
Recent Environmental Protection Agency Figures have confirmed that 35 out of 56 septic tank and waste water inspections in Leitrim have failed.
Of those 35, only 13 have since been brought up to the required standard required by the EPA.
Fianna Fáil Councillor Justin Warnock raised the motion and demanded clarity on why so many initially failed.

He also asked why such a small number have been upgraded to the necessary standard despite grant aid being made available.
