Leitrim has experienced the biggest population increase in the North West since the 2016 census.
The county had a population growth of 9.5% over the last six years.
Sligo has a population increase of 6.5% while Donegal had a rise of 4.5%
Meanwhile, the population of the Republic of Ireland is now the highest it has been since pre-Famine times.
There are now 5.1 million people here, an increase of 7.6 per cent in six years.
