Leitrim has been found to be the most expensive county in Ireland to take out a gym membership.
A survey has been carried out looking at county by county figures.
A report carried out by the Irish Independent examining the average cost of gym memberships across the country has found that the average cost in Leitrim is €62.
That puts Leitrim top of the pile nationwide, followed by €60.70 in Longford, Kildare at €59.20, and €59 in Roscommon.
The Aura Leitrim Leisure Centre in Carrick on Shannon was also found to have the most expensive membership in Leitrim, at a cost of €545 per year, or €54 a month.
A gym in Galway was noted to be the most expensive in the country, with members paying 75 euro a month.
Average costs were slightly lower across the North West, with gym goers in Sligo paying €53.60 a month, while in Donegal, the average monthly cost is €49.30.
Dublin was found to have the lowest average cost in the country, with members paying just €46.65 a month.
The survey only included the cost of a general-access membership to a gym, and memberships including other facilities, such as access to swimming pools, were excluded.
