Leitrim Gardaí warn of potential traffic delays in Carrick-on-Shannon

Gardaí in Leitrim are advising motorists to expect longer than expected travel journeys this weekend.

The warning comes as Carrick-on-Shannon prepares to host the Connacht Senior Football Championship Quarter Final between Leitrim and Sligo.

Gardaí are advising motorists to allow extra time for their journey and expect delays, particularly on the N4.

Members of the public are advised to follow Garda directions and parking signs where applicable.

Those who are not attending the game at Avant Money Páirc Seáin Mac Diarmada are asked to consider using alternative routes.
