Leitrim's rate now stands at 1,691; the highest in the country, followed by Louth, with 1,631.
23 counties now have rates of over 1,000 including Sligo on 1,236 and Donegal with a rate of 1,219.
By comparison, the lowest rate in Ireland is Roscommon with a figure of 882 infections per 100,000 population.
