Leitrim has seen the biggest rise in new car sales in the North West so far this year.
Figures released by the Society of the Irish Motor Industry show that the number of new cars purchased in Leitrim has increased by almost 8% in 2022.
Sligo recorded a drop of over 3% in new car sales while Donegal recorded a rise of almost 2%.
Nationally, there's been overall slowdown in car sales with the figure down 17.3 percent on the same month last year.
The drop has been blamed on supply issues experienced by retailers and the huge rise in inflation.
However, electric vehicle sales were up 44.5 percent, with 2,783 newly registered last month.
