Leitrim County records increase in the number of company start-ups over past year

Leitrim is one of a small number of counties that has witnessed an increase in the number of company start-ups over the past year.

The trend in Leitrim bucks the national trend with there being a 12 per cent drop in the number of company start-ups nationally.

CRIF-Vision-net data shows rural counties did better than cities.

Leitrim, Longford, Laois and Wexford all reported year on year start-up growth.
