Leitrim records increase in number on live register

Leitrim was one of only four counties which saw an increase in the number of people on the live register.

There were just over 1,801 people on the register in County Leitrim in February, representing a 2.5% increase.

Over 2,390 people were signing on in Sligo last month while there were over 8,970 people on the live register in Donegal however both figures reflect decreases when compared to the previous data.

Nationally, the number of people on the Live Register fell by 1 point 2 per cent over the month to February.

There were 174 thousand 600 people on the register in February, according to the CSO.

That's a decrease of 2 thousand 1 hundred people in the month.
