Thirty-seven national schools and seven secondary schools in County Leitrim are to receive a total of 3,500 books, thanks to an initiative by the Leitrim Guardian magazine committee.
Costing a total of €42,000, the books -- chosen by the schools -- will be handed over during an event in Drumshanbo this Wednesday.

Hubert McMorrow, one of those involved in the project, has been telling Ocean FM News why it was decided to give books to the schools.
